JOB DESCRIPTION

• IT Infrastructure Architect
• Provide expert guidance to infrastructure teams throughout the process of planning, designing, and implementing IT solutions.
• Need to lead the development of short-term and long-term architectural strategies for the IT project portfolio, focusing on key business segments.
• Prepare Business Case, RFP, SOW, Compliance document, Solution Architecture documents, etc. for different projects.
• Perform technical evaluations for all projects across the organization
• Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy
• Explore new IT Technologies which will bring value to the organization.
• Meet vendors regularly and identify the solutions which are best fit for the organization.
• Performing evaluation of infrastructure products from different vendors
• Prepare Presentation for senior management on innovative solutions, new initiatives.
• Gathering project requirements from Application, Information Security and Operational teams
• Assist the technical support and operational teams in deployment of designed solutions.
• Designing and Implementing the Infrastructure solutions. Ensure all solutions implemented are aligned to organizational standards.
• Create and maintain documentation, such as system designs, configurations, and procedures, and provide guidance.
• Support in design and implementation of complex and critical IT projects
• Performing IT infrastructure architecture assessments
• Provide Technical inputs for contractual renewals, changes as and when required.

Skills

• 10+ years’ experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure (Cloud, Datacenter, Network Systems, Security and Database)., hardware, hosting service.
• Must have worked in heterogeneous environment and handled large network infrastructure. (Multiple remote sites with minimum of 4000 users).
• Good understanding on various technologies especially Cloud technologies, IT Infrastructure & Storage (Knowledge on Systems, Database, Backup Network and Information Security).
• Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs.
• Ability to write architectural design documents or review design documents provided by others.
• Good communication, presentation, decision making and people management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Able to handle ad-hoc requests while under work pressure is a crucial skill.
