Cardiology Associates is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Invoice Data Entry Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering and verifying invoice data, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the billing process for medical services. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to handle sensitive financial data while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and process invoices for medical services provided to patients into the billing system.
  • Verify that invoices match purchase orders, contracts, or patient accounts before entry into the system.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in invoicing data, collaborating with other departments when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all invoices and payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry for billing purposes, helping maintain a smooth revenue cycle.
  • Work closely with the accounts receivable team to follow up on outstanding invoices and assist in resolving payment issues.
  • Assist with the generation and distribution of financial reports related to invoicing and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards related to invoicing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and patient data in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as needed to support the finance department.

Qualificatons:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in accounting, finance, or medical billing is a plus.
  • Previous experience in data entry, invoicing, or accounts payable/receivable, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and billing software or EHR systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical billing terminology and coding is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry tasks.
  • Ability to work with a computer and telephone for long periods.
