Description

As the Inventory Manager you will oversee and manage the inventory control system across all Company locations, ensuring the accurate tracking of inventory levels, orders, and stock movements. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring the timely replenishment of products. As the Inventory Manager, you will also collaborate with various departments to streamline inventory processes and ensure efficient operations.

Ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2-5 years of experience as an Inventory Manager or similar experience, with excellent project management skills and welll-rounded knowledge of supply chain processes, warehousing and manufacturing operations. Prior experience with multiple ERP systems, demand planning, forecasting and process improvement is also highly desired. In this role you will collaborate regularly with multiple cross-functional teams. This role is salaried, and eligible for full benefits including 401k with match, paid time off, paid holidays, and an annual performance bonus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory, including stock levels, and stock rotation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software or spreadsheets.
  • Monitor and control stock levels to meet customer demand. Minimize overstock or stock-outs.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to prevent disruptions in operations while controlling costs.

Stock Audits:

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
  • Perform cycle counts and annual stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.

Reporting:

  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to track stock movement, sales trends, and potential inventory issues.
  • Report any discrepancies, issues, or slow-moving stock to management and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track inventory KPIs and metrics: DOH, aged, and inventory turns.

Inventory Control & Efficiency:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for inventory control (Develop Phantom Roll Control).
  • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and storage optimization.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all inventory transactions.
  • Implement and ensure FIFO, Kanban (where applicable), and other best inventory practices.
  • Evaluate RFID and other inventory systems for potential future implementation.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and operations teams to forecast demand and plan for stock replenishment.
  • Provide training and guidance to inventory staff on best practices and company policies.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure inventory is stored, handled, and shipped in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role.
  • Supply Chain or Project Management certification a plus.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain processes.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Tech-savvy; able to work within multiple ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong cross functional, collaboration skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Indirect: Warehouse employees.

Training Requirements:

  • Required to pass forklift operator training.
  • Required to complete a Train the trainer, forklift certifier course.
  • Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to move, transport and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production and warehouse environment.
  • Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety harnesses for forklifts.
  • Gloves for moving pallets by hand.
  • Safety shoes and eye protection are highly recommended in the production area.

Travel requirements:

This position will require regular travel, up to 50% annually.
