The Position:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of Stock levels, including stock counts, adjustments, bin/batch accuracy, movements of stock regarding FIFO.
- Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies and make necessary correction in units, conversion, based on data insights and identify any wrong received GRN.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the inventory is in good condition and conduct regular quality checks. Identify and address any issues with damaged or expired goods.
- Inventory Tracking: Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems (such as barcoding, batch, bin locations both in HD, HDD) to improve accuracy and efficiency in tracking of FIFO and control the expiries.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on inventory levels and other relevant metrics to management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies regarding inventory management, including safety and security protocols (ensuring all stock counters wear safety belts while taking stock and monitoring them to prevent damage or stealing of stock).
- Inventory Audits: Conduct periodic physical inventory audits to verify the accuracy of bin, batch quantities to make smooth operation for merchandisers, pickers and for procurement to help them in order planning based on accurate system stock and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement by analysis pickers and merchandiser’s problems and implement best practices to streamline inventory management procedures with IT team by providing them thoughts to improve operation.
Job Summary :
As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory levels within the organization. Involves monitoring stock movements, conducting regular stock count room wise to maintain all bins location both in HD and HDD to streamline merchandising and picking process to fulfill customer orders on time, update the batches to follow the FIFO and to avoid any expired item send to the customer and maintain the quantity as per physical stock that help to the procurement team in order planning and avoid the shortages.
