Job Description:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Assistant. The Inventory Assistant will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, assisting with stock management, and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse or inventory department. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of goods and materials.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and accessible.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Input data into inventory management software or spreadsheets to update inventory records and track stock movements.
  • Assist with the picking, packing, and shipping of orders as needed.
  • Communicate inventory levels, stock shortages, and replenishment needs to the inventory supervisor or manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on inventory procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
