Job Overview:

As an Internal Auditor at Altrad Group, you will play an essential role in evaluating and enhancing our internal processes and controls. You will collaborate with various departments and teams to identify risks, conduct audits, and provide valuable insights that drive improvements in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess financial, operational, and compliance controls.
  • Risk Assessments: Assist in conducting risk assessments and developing risk-based audit plans.
  • Analytical Reviews: Conduct analytical reviews of financial data and processes.
  • Value Addition: Identify areas for process improvement and value addition.
  • Audit Reports: Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Follow-ups: Follow up the status the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Investigations: Participate in compliance investigations and forensic accounting efforts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Certification in Internal Audit or equivalent accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS, Internal Controls and Anti-Corruption and Bribery laws
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in internal auditing with last post as senior internal auditor or external auditing in Oil and Gas / construction or an accountancy firm.
  • Is able to work independently with minimum management supervision.
  • Fluency in English and French. Portuguese/German would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and risk-based audit techniques. In addition, familiarity with CSA (Control Self-Assessment) methodologies.
  • Interest in or prior experience in fraud investigations.
  • Ability to provide value-added insights and recommendations.
  • Willingness to travel (30% to 50%) to various company locations in the mainly Middle East, Africa and may travel also to Europe, Americas and Asia.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
