Description:

We are looking for an Internal Auditor for one of our client based in Jebel Ali – Dubai.

• Mandatory Professional qualifications – CIA or CPA (plus CA/ACCA qualification highly preferred but not mandatory)
• Additional Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Information Security will be an added advantage.
• Work Experience: 7-8 years in an established Internal Audit Function in a Multinational organization in a Logistics/Maritime/Transportation Industry. GCC industry experience is mandatory. Candidates should not be from the Audit firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, maintain and improve the organization’s internal audit charter and procedures, in accordance with international best practices.
• Plan, schedule and manage the life-cycle of an risk-based Internal Audit program for the Company and all its business segments, in line with International Best Practices and the Internal Audit Charter
• Conduct Audit Assignments in accordance with the Company`s Internal Audit Charter
• Ensure time and periodic reporting of the Internal Audit Activities to the Internal Audit Committee, as the coordinator of the Internal Audit Committee
• Conduct ad hoc investigations based on instructions from the Internal Audit Committee
• Supervise outsourced / co-sourced Internal Audit Assignments as applicable
• Participate in cross-functional discussions for enhancement and improvement of the Governance and internal control framework across the organization.
• Apart from the duties and responsibilities listed above, any other additional duties as advised by the reporting manager from time to time.
• Ability to conduct financial analysis in complex business models.
• Ability to crunch numbers using Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Strong working knowledge in Enterprise IT Tools such as Oracle, etc.
• Ability to draft reports for discussions and presentation at various levels of the organization.
