Role Summary:
As the Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing internal audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and improving internal processes across our trading and shipping divisions. Your expertise will support strategic decision-making and enhance financial accountability within our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute internal audit plans across oil trading and shipping functions.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
- Audit financial transactions, contracts, freight charges, and procurement activities.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost allocation in line with industry practices.
- Manage audits related to international cash flows, trade receivables, and compliance.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal teams across multiple regions.
- Report audit findings to senior management with actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA (preferred).
Industry Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of oil trading, commodity pricing, and contract structures.
- Strong understanding of shipping operations, including Incoterms and logistics costs.
- Familiarity with complex revenue recognition policies in the energy sector.
Skills & Tools:
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and trading software (e.g., Oddo, Aspect).
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and international audit standards.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in oil trading or the energy sector.
- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related industries.
- Exposure to international markets and multi-currency operations.
Languages:
Proficiency in English is required.
Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
