Sourced is offering an excellent remote opportunity for an experienced Web Data Extraction Specialist to work with a global technology leader on a contract basis. This role is suited for highly skilled professionals who specialize in extracting, processing, and analyzing data from a wide range of online sources.
As part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, structured data that supports key business decisions. This position provides flexibility and the chance to work on advanced data challenges in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable web scraping scripts and tools
• Extract data from various websites, including both static and dynamic content sources
• Clean, validate, and organize large datasets to ensure accuracy and usability
• Monitor and maintain scraping workflows to ensure consistent data quality
• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to handle anti-scraping measures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in Python and tools such as Scrapy and Selenium
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, and XML
• Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and validation processes
• Familiarity with both NoSQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of web security concepts and best practices
