The company is seeking a Full-Time Virtual Medical Assistant / Patient Advocate to join its Care Delivery team and provide high-quality non-clinical support to patients and healthcare providers.

The selected candidate will act as a key connection point between patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance partners. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve patient-related issues while providing a smooth and supportive healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide empathetic support to patients by answering non-clinical questions and helping them navigate their healthcare journey.

• Assist healthcare providers with non-clinical administrative tasks within electronic medical record systems.

• Review, triage, reassign, and resolve patient messages accurately and efficiently.

• Investigate complex patient situations and coordinate with clinical teams, pharmacies, insurance providers, and operational departments.

• Assist patients with non-clinical prescription-related issues, including benefits verification and prior authorizations.

• Communicate clear next steps and solutions to patients regarding their care experience.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve service quality and operational performance.

• Identify recurring patient concerns and provide feedback to improve workflows.

• Participate in new initiatives and projects focused on improving patient support.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in patient-facing administrative, healthcare, customer service, or operations roles.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

• Experience using technology platforms, digital tools, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.

• Ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy and effectively use approved AI tools.

• Experience with health insurance plans, benefits verification, and prior authorizations is preferred.

• Patient-facing Medical Assistant or relevant healthcare experience is preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Slack.
