Opportunity at a Glance

ACAMS is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Virtual Events Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of delivering top-tier virtual training experiences, overseeing the full event lifecycle from setup to execution across platforms like Zoom, Teams and our Learning Management System (LMS). You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors and ACAMS faculty to ensure every event runs professionally. With responsibilities ranging from project tracking to on-the-ground support for customer specific in-person events, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end operational tasks for ACAMS’ training events, including virtual classrooms and webinars, while delivering exceptional client service.
  • Set up and manage virtual training environments using the Learning Management System (LMS) and platforms such as Zoom, Webex, and MS Teams.
  • Coordinate with speakers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Build strong working relationships with ACAMS faculty, speakers, and trainers to support seamless event execution.
  • Travel up to 40% to support in-person training events.
  • Manage project tracking and documentation using Excel, Smartsheet, and other tools.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to help drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple events and projects in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Jump into ad hoc assignments with a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in events, operations, or training support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with faculty and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with project management tools (Smartsheet, Monday, etc.).
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn platforms like LMS, Salesforce, and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-first mindset and a passion for getting things done.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects and initiatives from start to finish
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks and deliverables.
  • MUST be able to fluently speak and write English and Spanish
