What’s in Store
We’re on the lookout for a Virtual Auditor (Remote) to work with our organization. As the Virtual Auditor, you will conduct audits of operational and financial data to verify exposure. As the Virtual Auditor, you will be responsible for managing an assigned inventory and completing virtual audits via email and phone with policyholders after receiving records from insureds.
To be successful in this role, you need to have at least 1-3 years of experience auditing operational and financial data (payroll and tax records), strong communication, technical and reasoning skills. Additionally, you will need to be dependable, adaptable, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine commercial businesses’ payroll and tax records
- Completes audits correctly in a timely manner
- Submit projects via web-portal, scheduling department and Afirm’s exclusive premium auditing software
- Manages assigned inventory
- Updates general statuses and contact notes on individual jobs
- Contacts on jobs via phone, email, fax and mail to collect audit information including copies of insured’s financial records and verifying accuracy
- Completes virtual audits via email and phone with policy holders after receiving records from the Insured
- Writes up and submits completed work on time through the Afirm online system
- Meets production standards for position
- Adhere to customer requirements and quality standards

This role is a full-time, remote position.
Skills, knowledge & expertise
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 1-3 years of related experience preferred
- Insurance designations such as APA or CIPA highly preferred
- Must have strong computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point and Excel
- Must have excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Excellent math ability with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure
- Possess strong technical skills
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills with the ability to clearly and concisely identify errors and steps for resolution
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Takes initiative and independent actions and calculated risks
- Strong time management skills to meet productivity standards and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgement throughout work
