We are currently hiring a Virtual Appliance Technician to join our remote team. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced appliance professionals who want to continue supporting customers without the physical demands and travel associated with field service. Using advanced remote tools, you’ll help customers troubleshoot their appliance issues, identify repair options, and walk them through potential DIY solutions—all from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote diagnostic sessions using Streem video technology to identify appliance issues
- Provide detailed technical guidance and support across multiple channels to address customer service needs
- Assist customers step-by-step with understanding and possibly resolving appliance problems on their own
- Record comprehensive notes for each interaction including model details, diagnosis, steps taken, and future actions
- Stay updated on current appliance standards, safety codes, and repair procedures to provide the most effective support
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping refine service delivery, tools, and customer experience
- Offer consultative advice to customers on repair best practices and cost-effective service options
- Identify opportunities to grow sales and upgrade customer experiences through value-based recommendations
- Build strong relationships and contribute to business development goals
- Act as a trusted advisor in home appliance care, maintenance, and repair solutions
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent hands-on experience in appliance repair
- Experience mentoring or teaching others in the appliance field is highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for appliance systems
- Excellent communication abilities to simplify technical issues for customers
- Confidence working independently and making sound judgments
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Teams, Zoom, Outlook, and Excel
- Tech-savvy with the ability to manage and troubleshoot multi-channel interactions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Comfortable with virtual sales or product recommendation processes
- Motivated to adapt, learn, and thrive in a fast-evolving remote work environment
Compensation:
- Hourly wage: $35 to $39/hour, based on experience, location, and qualifications
