Description:
Change Media Group (CMG) is seeking a highly motivated Video Editor / Animator to join our creative team on a contract basis for the 2026 election cycle. CMG has produced impactful creative for over 100 successful campaigns, helping leaders and organizations engage communities, persuade audiences, and drive measurable change. This role is ideal for organized, creative professionals who are passionate about video storytelling and want to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit videos of varying lengths and styles for TV and digital platforms, including :06, :15, :30, and :60 digital ads, as well as longform social content
- Craft compelling visual stories using raw footage, stock footage, or graphics based on scripts, prompts, or research
- Resize and caption videos for different digital platforms
- Collaborate with the video team and freelancers to brainstorm creative ideas and approaches
- Maintain organizational systems to manage multiple projects efficiently
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in TV and digital media
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, Audition); Cinema 4D is a plus
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities
- Instinct for effective visual storytelling, basic color correction, and sound mixing skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects
- High attention to detail and resourcefulness
Nice to Have:
- Experience in political, advocacy, or cause-based video production
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Team Projects and Google Drive for Desktop
- Understanding of post-production workflows and editing processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
