We’re Hiring | VAT Specialist (Contract)
An established FMCG organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced VAT Specialist for a short-term, renewable contract. This role is designed for a professional who can immediately support end-to-end UAE VAT compliance and advisory activities while ensuring full alignment with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations. The position suits someone comfortable working in a fast-moving FMCG environment and contributing from day one.
Role Overview:
The VAT Specialist will be responsible for managing complete UAE VAT processes, including reporting, compliance, and advisory support. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with solid technical VAT knowledge and hands-on experience in FMCG-related transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle UAE VAT compliance, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns
- Ensure correct VAT application on FMCG transactions such as imports, exports, promotions, discounts, and rebates
- Perform VAT reconciliations between VAT returns, general ledger, and supporting schedules
- Review tax invoices, credit notes, and debit notes to ensure VAT compliance
- Assist with FTA audits, assessments, queries, and voluntary disclosures
- Track updates in VAT laws and evaluate their impact on business operations
- Coordinate with internal departments including Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales to maintain VAT compliance
- Maintain organized, audit-ready VAT documentation and records
