As a Utility Billing Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting multiple clients, with a strong focus on tenant utility billing and energy data analysis. This position is highly analytical and detail-oriented, offering the opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment while contributing directly to the evolution of RES’s energy solutions and client services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform tenant utility billing calculations for electricity, gas, solar, water, and HVAC across a national real estate portfolio
• Deliver a high level of client and tenant satisfaction through accurate reporting and responsive service
• Respond promptly to client and tenant inquiries in line with established company procedures
• Prepare utility budgets, reforecasts, and conduct variance analysis for clients
• Maintain and update utility tariff data and property information within internal databases to ensure reporting accuracy
• Review lease agreements to confirm tenants are billed correctly based on individual lease terms
• Resolve utility account issues in coordination with utility providers and billing processing partners
• Participate in internal and client-driven projects supporting organizational objectives, including metering analysis and allocation modeling
• Produce energy performance reports and analyze usage and cost trends for clients
• Create ad hoc reports to meet specific client requests
• Support additional initiatives such as load study analysis, software development assistance, demand response enrollment, and client presentations, as required
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant analytical field preferred
• Prior experience involving accounting principles, energy calculations, or commercial real estate exposure is an advantage
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and consolidate large data sets and produce clear reports and visuals
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
• Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong time management, project management, and follow-through skills
