Resource Energy (RES) is seeking a detail-oriented Utility Billing Analyst to join our team. RES provides tailored energy procurement and management solutions for some of the world’s largest commercial real estate companies and industrial clients. Our services include power and gas procurement, energy data collection, sustainability reporting, and energy strategy consulting to help clients optimize energy usage and manage greenhouse gas emissions.

The Utility Billing Analyst will primarily handle tenant utility billing calculations, energy consumption analysis, and cost reporting while providing excellent client service. This role offers the chance to contribute to innovative energy management solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform utility billing calculations for electricity, gas, solar, water, and HVAC systems for tenants across RES’s national real estate portfolio
• Ensure client and tenant satisfaction through timely and accurate service
• Respond promptly to tenant and client inquiries in line with established procedures
• Prepare utility budgets, reforecasts, and perform variance analyses for clients
• Maintain and update utility tariff data and property information in the database to ensure accuracy
• Review lease language to ensure proper billing compliance for individual tenants
• Resolve utility account issues with service providers and bill processing firms
• Participate in internal or client-requested projects, including tenant metering, utility system analysis, and allocation studies for shopping centers
• Generate energy performance reports and analyze usage and cost trends
• Produce ad hoc reports for client-specific requests
• Support additional responsibilities such as load study analysis, software development assistance, demand response enrollment, and client presentations

Required Skills/Competencies:
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, consolidation, and reporting
• Strong client service skills and ability to interface with all organizational levels
• High attention to detail, excellent time management, and project management skills
• Knowledge of accounting concepts, energy calculations, or commercial real estate experience is preferred
