Description:
Valeris, a leading life sciences commercialization partner formed from the merger of PharmaCord and Mercalis, is seeking a highly experienced Treasury Lead to manage the company’s cash management operations and oversee essential accounting controls over the Order to Cash process. This role is critical for managing cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and risk exposure, while supporting strategic decision-making related to capital structure. Reporting to the VP of Finance Operations, the Treasury Lead will be a hands-on leader responsible for both daily treasury execution and long-term cash planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury / Cash Management:
- Oversee daily cash positions, customer deposit movements, and optimize short-term liquidity
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts; partner with operations and finance to improve forecasting accuracy
- Implement and manage banking and treasury system controls, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audits
- Lead automation initiatives to streamline treasury operations
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports, dashboards, and metrics
- Analyze bank fees, interest income/expense, and treasury KPIs
- Ensure timely approval of payment batches for claims and other financial obligations
Accounts Receivable / Payable:
- Develop and maintain processes for managing accounts receivable and customer collections
- Serve as escalation point for customer collections issues and pre-fund balances
- Oversee timely review, approval, and payment of vendor obligations, including pharmacy and medical claims processors
Financial Controls & Compliance:
- Develop, track, and enforce key financial controls in the Order to Cash process
- Analyze root causes of cross-functional issues and provide solutions
- Support contract interpretation and ensure Valeris’ financial interests are protected
- Document policies, procedures, and support internal and external audits
Leadership & Team Management:
- Directly manage, coach, and develop finance staff
- Drive adherence to SOPs, month-end close processes, and operational KPIs
- Partner with CFO and VP of Finance Operations to build a scalable finance organization
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and Accounts Receivable management
- Experience with NetSuite or similar business applications
- Pharmaceutical services or patient affordability financial operations experience preferred
- Proven audit, internal controls, and treasury operations experience
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Regularly required to talk or hear, sit for extended periods, and use hands to type or handle objects
- Must type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy
- Minimal travel flexibility preferred
