Position Overview:
We are recruiting a Remote Travel Agent to join our growing, remote-friendly team. In this role you will plan and book travel for clients, deliver tailored itineraries, and provide high-touch customer support from initial inquiry through post-trip follow-up. This position allows you to work from anywhere in the U.S. while servicing travelers across different time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Client Communication: Engage with clients by phone and email to understand travel history, preferences, budgets, and special requests.
- Itinerary Design: Research destinations, accommodations, transportation, excursions, and other services to craft customized travel plans.
- Booking & Coordination: Book flights, hotels, car rentals, cruises, tours, and related services; manage confirmations and vendor coordination.
- Advice & Compliance: Provide up-to-date guidance on travel regulations, visa/passport requirements, and health/safety protocols.
- Customer Support: Assist clients with changes, cancellations, and emergencies before, during, and after travel.
- Relationship Building: Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Continuous Learning: Keep current on destination trends, vendor offerings, and travel technology to improve service quality.
Requirements:
- Age & Authorization: Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Equipment: Own a reliable computer and cell phone with steady internet access.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills and a customer-service focus.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bookings at once.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously with good time-management skills.
- Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate clients across time zones.
