Description:
Savers | Value Village is seeking a Traffic Administrator I to support the Sourcing Department by ensuring efficient, cost-effective movement of freight across the organization. This remote role is key to coordinating shipments from vendors to company-assigned locations, managing trailer inventory, and providing reporting and communication across departments. You will work closely with the Routing and Traffic Manager of Supply US and assist in system testing, operational improvements, and financial verification.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate the company Trailer Management System (TMS) to document movement of trailers and inventory between stores and storage locations.
• Manage trailer inventory effectively in assigned regions.
• Communicate with managers, RSCM, and SCSs regarding trailer moves, inventory issues, and operational factors.
• Assist in testing new systems, providing feedback to maximize department software performance.
• Develop and execute operational procedures to optimize freight movement across Savers.
• Accurately record and process invoices within AP systems, collaborating with third-party freight vendors and the Accounting department.
• Execute company freight movements by coordinating with third-party vendors efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Troubleshoot disruptions to plans and communicate timely with operations and team members.
• Provide coverage for other Traffic Administrators during PTO, LOA, or other absences.
• Verify and approve all financial documents related to trailer moves and rentals.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of OTR and Intermodal transportation models.
• Planning and organizational skills in a fast-paced, dynamic supply chain environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multitask with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Basic knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Minimum Required Education, Training, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain support or dispatching.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail inventory planning, distribution, or transportation.
