Optro, a leading audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec SaaS platform, is seeking a high-impact Technical Writer to join its Customer Education team. This role focuses on translating complex technical systems into seamless and accessible user journeys across the Optro Help Center.
The Technical Writer will work closely with engineers, product teams, and customer success teams to extract technical knowledge and create content that empowers users. This includes user guides, how-to tutorials, FAQs, and troubleshooting articles. Candidates will also leverage AI and other automation tools to streamline content creation while maintaining high quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with SMEs across engineering, product, and customer success to gather technical information and translate it into clear, accessible content
- Quickly gain expertise in new products and complex technical architectures
- Write and maintain high-quality Help Center content, including guides, tutorials, FAQs, and troubleshooting documents
- Identify creative ways to scale documentation using AI-assisted tools and automation
- Organize Help Center content to ensure easy navigation and searchability, enhancing product adoption and reducing support tickets
- Maintain consistent brand voice and tone across all documentation
- Own the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, from discovery with SMEs to publication and ongoing maintenance
Attributes for a Successful Candidate:
- Proven track record in technical writing within SaaS or fast-paced technology companies (5+ years)
- Self-starter capable of mastering complex tools and workflows independently
- Familiarity or strong interest in using Generative AI and automation tools to optimize content creation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Experience creating visual communication elements, including diagrams and infographics
- Technical proficiency with Zendesk; familiarity with Markdown, Git, or API documentation is a plus
