General Role Description:
The Live Online Class Teaching Assistant supports live virtual courses by helping deliver high-quality instruction and by providing operational and student support aligned with Bridgeway Academy’s standards. You’ll work closely with lead teachers and operations staff to ensure smooth classes and positive outcomes for enrolled students.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist the Lead Teacher with pre-class preparation, including uploading presentations and materials.
• Take and maintain accurate attendance records and set assignment due dates.
• Record and document changes for NCAA courses and complete post-class exit records.
• Support grading activities and provide classroom coverage when the Lead Teacher is unavailable.
• Offer in-class student support, monitor participation, and follow up on absences or missing work when requested.
• Collect feedback from participants via surveys, email, and calls to inform program improvements.
• Help resolve parent, student, or instructor concerns and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain timely communication with families, charter partners, homeschool instructors, and other stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to support tickets and inquiries from parents, advisors, sales, and teaching staff.

Course Delivery:
• Verify recording of Live Online sessions and ensure archives are accessible.
• Help teachers use online instructional tools effectively and manage breakout rooms.
• Supervise student behaviour during sessions and answer questions in chat.
• Contribute to lesson delivery using Bridgeway Academy’s online best practices.
• Perform other duties to support successful online course delivery.

Requirements:
• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Comfortable using Zoom or similar live-meeting platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel) and collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (Moodle experience preferred) and willingness to learn Edovate’s LMS.
• Familiarity with interactive learning tools (Classkick, Nearpod, Kahoot!, Blooket, Gimkit, Quizizz, Padlet) is a plus.
• Able to multitask across split screens or dual monitors and work independently.
• Strong customer-service orientation, relationship-building, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
