Role Overview:
As a Tax Associate, you will provide federal and state tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base. You will work closely with the Fondo Accounting and Operations teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of client projects and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Input data into ProConnect Tax Software and perform international tax return reviews
• Review financial statements and provide occasional support
• Maintain and update customer project lists
• Assist with various state and federal filing deadlines
• Monitor client Slack channels to respond promptly to requests or questions
• Maintain organized filing systems in cloud-based software
• Conduct research on client inquiries and implement strategies with sales and marketing teams
• Support additional projects and duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
• CPA certification preferred
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general and tax accounting principles
• Experience with business and individual tax returns, especially C-Corps
• Working knowledge of international tax
• Proficiency in ProConnect, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent priority and time management skills
• Experience managing financials for multiple clients simultaneously
• Strong written communication skills for explaining accounting systems and processes
• Ability to research, analyze data, and make informed recommendations
• Skilled in preparing statistical and financial reports
• Adaptable, able to handle ambiguity, creatively solve problems, and manage multiple deadlines
