Description:
Magellan Federal is seeking a Supervisor Billing Analyst to oversee daily billing operations and provide expert guidance to the billing team. This role ensures smooth workflow, accurate reimbursements, and timely resolution of billing issues while maintaining compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Billing Specialists, providing feedback and monitoring daily workflow and results
- Monitor billing queues to ensure timely processing of scheduled dispenses
- Oversee Q-Finiti calls and maintain quality oversight for assigned claims
- Identify and report system problems or workflow interruptions to the Billing Manager
- Address billing discrepancies with other departmental staff
- Participate in employee hiring, orientation, and training for new staff
- Monitor attendance and punctuality, addressing issues through verbal or written warnings as needed
- Perform duties of billing specialists when required
- Ensure projects are reconciled regularly for accurate revenue recognition
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding deadlines and changes
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties to resolve billing issues
- Review and approve Billing Analysts’ timecards, addressing any discrepancies
Requirements:
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Ten-Key by touch
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret contract language accurately
