Description:
Chartwell Law, a fast-growing civil litigation firm with nearly 300 attorneys across 30+ offices, is recruiting a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting department. This remote role supports our national operations and is a great fit for someone who values collaboration, accuracy, and professional growth within a purpose-driven culture.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Daily cash reconciliation and review of bank activity.
  • Daily review of positive pay exceptions and follow-up on discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Monitor the general ledger for posting errors and propose reclassification entries where needed.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and support accounting close processes.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a mid- to large-sized organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Experience with law firm systems and Aderant software is advantageous but not mandatory.
