Description:
BrentCare Behavioral Health is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to oversee and manage all financial activities at our site. This onsite position requires strong analytical abilities, a keen eye for accuracy, and excellent communication skills to effectively report financial information to leadership and corporate teams.

The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to aid in strategic planning and decision-making
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate invoice payments
• Collaborate with corporate teams on general accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close
• Reconcile daily cash, revenue cycle, and census data
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory reporting requirements
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets

Experience and Requirements:
• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience
• Health care accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of behavioral health and insurance billing (in-network/out-of-network) is a plus
• Onsite, five days per week
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work with sensitive financial information while maintaining confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Adaptable to frequent priority changes and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
