We’re Hiring | Sr Software Developer – Remote (US)
Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is seeking a skilled Sr Software Developer to join our Financial Systems Support Center (FSSC). Under general supervision, this role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating front-end web-based solutions and financial system applications. The developer will manage customer application database environments, create user interfaces, and support reporting for all finance-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement new software solutions and databases by analyzing requirements, interviewing users, and evaluating current systems
• Maintain and manage existing solutions and databases to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and operational compliance
• Recommend and implement database solutions, including structure, security, backups, and recovery specifications
• Prepare system specifications, flowcharts, and installation requirements for revised or new systems
• Provide training, support, and problem resolution for end-users
• Design and code database utilities and reporting tools to meet user needs
• Ensure quality and integrity of data by enforcing organizational standards, policies, and procedures
• Stay updated with professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies
• Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related tasks as needed
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• Functional knowledge of ERP solutions and supporting applications
• Experience with MS Access, SQL, Oracle, and other relational databases
• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and development
• Coding experience in Unix, SQL Server, Java, XML, HTML, ASP.net, VB.net, Python, and scripting
• Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and technical presentation abilities
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
