Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective collections strategies to enhance commission revenue recovery for group, direct hotel, and car rental commissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply, sales, accounting, and product to streamline collections processes and improve cash flow.
- Establish and refine collections workflows and systems to drive efficiency, scalability, and higher collection rates.
- Manage communications and relationships with hotel partners and vendors, ensuring timely support and adherence to Engine’s standards.
- Execute accurate and timely cash application for all commission types and reconcile accounts receivable balances to maintain financial integrity.
- Handle a high-volume queue of partner inquiries via email and phone, resolving payment disputes, revised invoices, and complex reconciliations.
- Support the Finance team during month-end close by preparing journal entries, reviewing bad debt reserves, and ensuring accurate receivables reporting.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related financial operations, preferably in hospitality or travel.
- Strong problem-solving skills with analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Proven track record of building and improving collections processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in NetSuite, Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced), and Google Sheets. Experience with hospitality supply systems is a plus.
- Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with supply, sales, and accounting teams to drive results.
