Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sr Claims Adjuster to manage and resolve complex home warranty claims. The ideal candidate will communicate with homeowners, builders, field adjusters, engineers, and contractors while evaluating new losses, overseeing repairs, negotiating settlements, and ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently. This position may also involve arbitration, litigation, and recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate professionally and timely with homeowners, builders, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of new home workmanship, systems, and structural defect claims.
  • Review warranty and insurance policy terms to make accurate coverage determinations.
  • Manage claim files, establish loss and expense reserves, and analyze supporting data.
  • Evaluate repair estimates, negotiate settlements, and resolve claims efficiently.
  • Advise stakeholders on warranty responsibilities, expedite warranted repairs, and provide guidance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic claim records.
  • Follow claim procedures and guidelines.
  • Pursue recovery opportunities and participate in arbitration as required.
  • Handle increasing complexity in claim management and may be assigned to specific builder accounts.

Required Skills:

  • Current Property and Casualty License with ability to maintain continuing education.
  • Strong telephone and written communication skills with empathy and professionalism.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capability to work virtually in a home-office environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Home Warranty, Property, or General Liability claims.
  • Proficiency in property estimating and evaluating repair estimates.
  • Experience with arbitration, litigation, and national claims.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a computer for up to eight hours a day.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 10 pounds.
  • Repetitive hand and finger movements, including typing and data entry.

Travel Requirements:

  • 0–10% travel for company functions, arbitrations, or mediations.
