About This Role:
In this role, you will take ownership of key components of the accounts receivable and billing processes, working closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to ensure accurate invoicing, efficient collections, and clean, audit-ready financial records. This is a hands-on position where your work will directly influence cash flow, financial reporting, and customer/vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Manage and execute the full accounts receivable cycle, from invoice generation to payment collection and application.
🔹 Maintain the AR aging report and proactively resolve overdue accounts and discrepancies.
🔹 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure timely payments and resolve billing inquiries.
🔹 Perform complex reconciliations of the accounts receivable ledger to maintain accurate financial data.
🔹 Assist in developing and implementing AR policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
🔹 Support accounting projects, including implementation of billing/receivables platforms and audits.
Preferred Experience:
🔹 3-5 years in accounts receivable or corporate collections.
🔹 Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and billing platforms.
🔹 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
🔹 Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
🔹 Proven ability to assist with customer relationships and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
🔹 Excellent analytical skills for complex reconciliations.
🔹 Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
🔹 Experience in high-growth financial technology or travel companies.
🔹 Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker and Redash.
