Description:
Amit International Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Accountant to join its team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support the organization’s financial reporting and compliance functions.
This position is well suited for accounting professionals with strong analytical skills, knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, and experience using accounting or ERP software. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, banks, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial statements.
• Ensure timely recording of accounting transactions with proper supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables while following up on pending payments.
• Coordinate with internal departments, banks, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and company financial policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial information.
• Identify financial discrepancies and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain the confidentiality of financial records and company information.
Requirements:
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar position.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and applicable accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Analytical, numerical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• UAE experience will be an added advantage.
