Description:
Solutions Engineer – Remote (United States)

BuildOps is looking for a Solutions Engineer to serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor alongside our Account Executive team. You will help articulate BuildOps’ overall value proposition, collaborate across departments, and ensure alignment with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in pre-sales technical support, project management, or administration within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-sales technical support for prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration to deal closure
  • Craft value-driven presentations that address customer business challenges and drive adoption of the BuildOps platform
  • Participate in technical demonstrations and coordinate technical resources, both internal and external
  • Train and enable new Account Executives to become BuildOps experts
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet project milestones

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales engineering experience and/or relevant construction/service industry knowledge
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, in-person and virtual
  • Experience supporting sales teams to close business by addressing technical challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external customers and internal partners across multiple channels

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in tech start-ups or construction/service industries
  • CPA-level or equivalent knowledge of construction accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Field Service Management/Project Management platforms, accounting/ERP systems, Salesforce, Slack

Travel:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% for in-person meetings with prospects and customers
