Description:
Applied Systems, a global leader in insurance technology, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Epic Quotes Personal Lines team. In this remote role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale solutions that enhance the business of insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and implement automated tests ensuring high-quality software.
• Participate in technical discussions and code reviews to maintain coding standards and best practices.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React and develop RESTful services and APIs on Google Cloud.
• Evaluate the impact of changes, identify risks, and propose solutions.
• Continuously improve development processes and workflow efficiency.
• Work with Application Architects to validate technical solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation to support design decisions and team alignment.
Requirements & Skills:
• 5+ years of experience building web applications and services.
• 3+ years of web development experience with React.
• Proficiency in Golang, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL/SQL Server, GCP, and Visual Studio.
• Experience implementing and consuming RESTful APIs and services.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of software testing best practices, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback through code reviews.
• Strong troubleshooting, research, and problem-solving abilities.
