Role:
As a Software Engineer focused on infrastructure and platform engineering, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the core systems that support ClassDojo. Your work will directly impact millions of users globally, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with software engineers, contribute to technical designs, and help continuously improve our development and deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Improve and maintain platform infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Write, debug, and optimize code in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
- Collaborate with engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and design discussions.
- Identify and implement improvements for shared systems, tools, and best practices.
- Support and enhance build and deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions, providing technical expertise.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, processes, and team culture.
- Assist teammates in overcoming technical challenges through hands-on work and guidance.
- Break down complex projects into manageable increments for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support the growth of other engineers, fostering a learning environment.
- Promote collaboration, psychological safety, and a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or related roles.
- Proven technical contributions and leadership in previous roles.
- Strong experience in cloud platform management, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

- Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
