We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join Found’s Taxes & Bookkeeping (TAB) Team. This team is responsible for developing intuitive and automated bookkeeping solutions that help customers save time and money while positioning Found as a powerful all-in-one financial platform for self-employed professionals.
In this role, you will contribute to building and scaling Found’s core bookkeeping features, enhancing tools for accountants and internal teams, and supporting the growth of paid subscription offerings. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to take features from early ideas to production systems used by tens of thousands of users each week.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to design, build, and launch user-facing and internal features
- Work closely with a dedicated product manager and designer throughout planning, design handoffs, testing, and release cycles
- Make architectural decisions around building, testing, deploying, and scaling new features
- Write secure, reliable, and maintainable code across frontend and backend systems
- Build and monitor post-launch dashboards using tools such as DataDog and Amplitude to measure adoption and performance
Required Experience & Skills:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with both backend and frontend frameworks
- Strong passion for continuous learning and professional growth
- Solid experience with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, MySQL, and Redis
Nice to Have:
- Prior startup experience or demonstrated technical leadership on previous projects
- Experience or interest in financial services, accounting, or self-employment platforms
- Exposure to tax-related products or bookkeeping systems
