Description:
We’re looking for a creative, strategic Social Media Manager to join a fast-growing CPG startup. You’ll own our presence across platforms like Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn — crafting content, growing community engagement, and driving brand awareness in a competitive consumer-goods landscape. This role blends storytelling, content production, analytics, and campaign execution to create authentic connections with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Management: Plan and maintain content calendars aligned with product launches and marketing campaigns. Produce and edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks), Stories, and graphics using Canva and basic video tools. Capture and create content during events, trade shows, and product programs.
  • Strategy & Growth: Monitor trends and adapt them to the brand. Analyze performance metrics and refine tactics to improve reach and engagement. Actively engage with the community and respond to messages and comments in a timely manner.
  • Brand Development: Build creative campaigns and UGC strategies that showcase our community and events authentically. Support product launches with focused social activations and track brand sentiment across channels.
  • Collaboration & Influencer Work: Coordinate with cross-functional teams on integrated campaigns and identify/build relationships with micro and macro influencers to amplify reach.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years managing social media accounts with demonstrated growth in followers and engagement.
  • Proficiency with content creation tools (Canva, basic video editing software) and social analytics platforms.
  • Strong storytelling and written communication skills; able to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Comfortable translating trends into on-brand content that resonates with CPG audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the CPG industry and its marketing dynamics.
  • Based in NYC or LA metro areas (preferred for occasional travel).
  • Basic photography and video production skills; experience with YouTube and Notion a plus.
