Description:
A leading engineering organization in Dubai is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer specializing in Fire & Life Safety (FLS) systems. The role involves supervising and coordinating site activities related to ELV systems and ensuring all installations comply with approved drawings, technical standards, and company QHSE policies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project execution, coordinating with clients and site teams, managing documentation, and ensuring successful testing, commissioning, and handover of systems. This position requires strong technical expertise in fire and safety systems along with excellent site management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor, coordinate, and supervise site activities for ELV systems including FAS, VESDA, PAVA, CBS, and CMS
• Ensure installation is carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and QHSE policies
• Prepare, submit, and attend inspection of WIRs and MIRs with QC and consultants
• Submit daily and weekly progress reports to senior management
• Manage labor distribution in coordination with site supervisors and foremen
• Attend client and site meetings along with project superiors
• Monitor material stock and raise material requests as required
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and documentation procedures
• Witness final testing, system acceptance, and ensure proper project handover documentation
• Ensure safe testing and commissioning in line with project specifications and timelines
• Conduct client training on systems during project handover
• Maintain accurate project records and monitor system performance
• Identify technical issues and report design or operational improvements
• Coordinate material flow and project execution within the organization
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Fire & Life Safety or ELV systems
• Strong knowledge of:
• Fire Alarm Systems (FAS)
• VESDA systems
• PAVA systems
• Central Battery Systems (CBS)
• Central Monitoring Systems (CMS)
• Testing and commissioning procedures
• ELV system installation standards
• Site supervision and project coordination
• Strong understanding of QHSE policies and compliance
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage site operations and technical teams effectively
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
