Description:
We are currently seeking a Site Accountant to join an innovative and growing construction organization in Al Ain. This role is site-based and plays a critical part in managing daily accounting activities, maintaining financial controls, and ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE regulations across active construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate financial record-keeping at the project site while closely coordinating with the head office and site management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain site-level accounting records related to materials, labor, petty cash, and operational expenses
- Record, review, and verify daily financial transactions at the site
- Monitor material usage, goods receipt notes (GRNs), and stock movements
- Handle petty cash management, site advances, and expense reconciliation
- Prepare weekly and monthly site expense and cost reports
- Coordinate with Head Office teams for invoices, supplier payments, and reconciliations
- Track subcontractor bills, certifications, and related supporting documents
- Assist with site billing activities and cost allocation processes
- Support VAT-related documentation in line with UAE VAT requirements
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of delivery notes, invoices, timesheets, and site records
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Storekeeper, and Procurement Team to ensure financial accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- 3–5 years of proven experience as a Site Accountant in the UAE
- Mandatory experience working directly on construction project sites
- Strong understanding of construction cost control and site operations
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar platforms
- Immediate availability to join
- Valid UAE driving license will be considered an advantage
