Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer – Electrical to join our Dubai-based team. The role centres on installation, routine and emergency maintenance, and fault diagnosis for diesel generator systems — with strong emphasis on Cummins generators and PCC (Power Command Control) controllers. You’ll work to keep equipment reliable, safe, and operating with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency servicing of Cummins diesel generators to maintain optimal performance.
- Configure, commission and troubleshoot PCC control systems and related electronics.
- Synchronize multiple generator sets, ensuring correct load sharing and seamless transfer between units.
- Maintain, repair and test medium- and high-voltage equipment following safety standards and manufacturer instructions.
- Diagnose faults and implement timely, effective repairs to minimise outages.
- Keep accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams about work completed and follow-ups needed.
- Ensure full compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company policies on safety and operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience working specifically on Cummins generators with PCC controllers.
- Strong knowledge of generator synchronization techniques and power system fundamentals.
- Practical experience with medium and high voltage machinery and solid understanding of safety protocols.
- Previous experience with an Authorized Cummins Dealer is mandatory.
- Able to work independently and as part of a service team.
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai or already based in the UAE.
