Description:
A reputable organization is looking to hire an experienced Senior Treasury Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This role is suited for a treasury professional with extensive experience in cash management, banking operations, and trade finance within the UAE market.
The successful candidate will oversee treasury activities, manage banking relationships, monitor cash flow, and support strategic financial operations. Applicants with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a solid understanding of trade finance are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily cash position reports and monitor organizational cash flow.
• Manage banking facilities, including Letters of Credit (LC), Trust Receipt (TR) loans, overdrafts, and bank guarantees while monitoring utilization and limits.
• Process import Letters of Credit, documentary collections, and TR loan settlements with banking partners.
• Evaluate bank pricing, service charges, and financing terms to secure competitive banking arrangements.
• Handle bank KYC requirements, compliance requests, and account opening or renewal documentation.
• Prepare accurate bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate fund transfers between business entities and ensure payments are processed within approved authorization limits.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and negotiate competitive FX rates with banks.
• Prepare monthly treasury KPI reports covering facility utilization, finance costs, cash balances, and treasury performance.
• Supervise, guide, and support the Junior Treasury Accountant.
Requirements:
• 6–8 years of treasury or banking experience with exposure to UAE trade finance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CMA, CTP, or ACCA qualification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple banking relationships and treasury operations effectively.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cash management and treasury operations
• Trade finance, including Letters of Credit (LC), Trust Receipt (TR) loans, and documentary collections
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and bank reconciliations
