[Overview:
GFT is recruiting a Senior Tolling Specialist to join our transportation team. This hybrid/remote role leads tolling programs and operational improvements across systems, providing subject-matter expertise on interoperability, finance, compliance and commercial back-office/customer service center operations. The position supports transformative roadway projects that enhance mobility and ensure accurate, reliable toll collection.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Act as an advisory lead on toll programs, providing operational and implementation oversight for commercial back-office systems and customer service center operations.
• Perform complex data and business-process analyses to identify efficiency opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop analytical tools, pricing models, and feasibility studies; prepare clear summaries and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Draft and review procurement and program documents (RFPs, system assessments, test plans, software release notes, etc.) that may become public records.
• Support design, testing, installation and oversight of commercial back-office and customer service center implementations.
• Provide subject matter input across the toll system lifecycle—from current state assessment to future planning, technology selection, and operations oversight.
• Participate in project management, internal reporting, and business development activities, including proposal responses and industry networking.
What You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, computer science or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with toll back-office/customer service centers, toll operations, or other high-transaction sectors (transit, payments, CRM).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams) and strong data manipulation ability (PivotTables, complex formulas).
• Deep knowledge of CBOS functions—telephony, CRM, payment processing, account management, invoicing, interoperability and collections.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze revenue/expense data, perform cost/benefit analysis, and develop pricing proposals.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, workflow analysis, APIs/ICDs and system integration methods.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL or similar data-extraction and reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills and comfort preparing client-facing documentation and public deliverables.
Preferred / Valuable Experience:
• Extensive background in tolling customer service centers and operations, including performance metrics and workforce management strategies.
• Knowledge of interagency reconciliation, settlement, exception handling and E-ZPass Inter-CSC specifications.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to translate statutes into operational recommendations.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary range: $180,000 – $210,000 (dependent on experience and location).
