The Community You Will Join:
The Quality Engineering team at Airbnb focuses on building high-quality software efficiently. You will help develop testable systems, improve automation coverage, maintain test environments and frameworks, and navigate Airbnb’s extensive codebase to identify areas for improvement.

You will ensure Airbnb’s product workflows deliver seamless, high-quality experiences. As a Senior Engineer, you will develop and maintain automation coverage, test tools, frameworks, and system code. You will participate in design reviews to create testable systems and guide designs for modularity and testability. You thrive in understanding complex systems across technologies and excel at problem-solving in ambiguous scenarios.
A Typical Day:
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests to ensure robust test coverage for new features and releases
• Support and maintain testing infrastructure, applications, environments, and tools
• Drive cross-team collaboration to cultivate innovation and growth
• Maintain high code quality, operational excellence, and commitment to engineering craft
• Scale distributed applications in a 24×7 environment and make thoughtful architectural trade-offs
• Collaborate with design, product, data science, and research teams to influence engineering decisions
Your Expertise:
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Espresso
• Experience in developing testability and automation frameworks for Android mobile applications at scale
• Knowledge of distributed systems development and testing
• Hands-on technical leadership, roadmap planning, and project management
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and drive integrations across teams with significant impact
Your Location:
