As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will become a key contributor within one of Overstory’s web product teams. This role centers on building and scaling digital products that empower utility companies to better manage climate-related risks such as wildfires, extreme weather, and infrastructure stress. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and technical leaders to deliver solutions that create real-world impact.
What You Will Do:
• Improve platform performance and scalability to support rapid year-over-year growth
• Accelerate the delivery and adoption of new product features for customers
• Reduce manual processes involved in ingesting and processing vegetation risk analysis
• Take ownership of critical technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
• Mentor and support other engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices
About You:
• Strong passion for climate action and sustainability-driven technology
• Experience working within fast-growing startup or scale-up environments
• Product-focused mindset with a proven ability to drive meaningful business impact
• Hands-on experience in full stack development, particularly with backend-leaning systems
• Familiarity with technologies such as React, TypeScript, Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, and data pipelines
• Comfortable working in a “build it, run it” environment using cloud platforms and monitoring tools
• Ability to design reliable, scalable, and resilient systems
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
• Enthusiastic about continuous learning and evolving technologies
• Based in GMT/CET time zones or the US East Coast
