A senior-level opportunity is available for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Data Products team at a leading live events and ticketing technology company. This role focuses on building and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions used by major sports and entertainment organizations worldwide. The team is actively rearchitecting and developing the next generation of data platforms and products that power large-scale, data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is passionate about data, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in collaborative environments. This position offers the flexibility to work fully remotely or in a hybrid setup, while contributing to impactful products used across the live events ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build software and tooling that support enterprise-level data products and services
- Contribute to the development of scalable data platforms used by global sports and entertainment partners
- Mentor and support fellow engineers, helping elevate technical skills across the team
- Lead by example by writing clean, well-tested code with strong documentation and operational standards
- Collaborate closely with product managers to define requirements for complex, data-driven solutions
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to establish and maintain best practices for data quality and reliability
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in analytics, data engineering, or data-focused product development
- Expert-level SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python programming
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade, data-driven products with operational excellence
- Hands-on exposure to streaming data systems and data warehousing environments
- Strong working knowledge of DBT and Kafka
- Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, Looker, Tableau, Hex, and GitLab is an advantage
