In this role you will analyze revenue cycle data, identify root causes for variances, and recommend durable, system-level and workflow improvements that reduce denials, shorten days in A/R, and improve overall reimbursement performance. You will partner closely with finance, CSRC management, and operational subject-matter experts to translate data into actionable strategies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze trends across revenue cycle metrics to identify variance drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reports and presentations that summarize findings, quantify impact, and recommend prioritized actions.
  • Design strategic approaches and offer recommendations to monitor and mitigate risk or revenue leakage.
  • Create recurring and ad-hoc reports for finance and revenue cycle stakeholders.
  • Participate in denial management and optimization projects aimed at improving cash flow and reducing write-offs.
  • Use independent judgment to resolve issues and escalate high-priority risks to leadership when necessary.

Department-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CSRC management and subject-matter experts to review billing and claims data, identify patterns of denials or revenue loss, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate and summarize potential system or user interface break/fix issues; quantify the financial impact and identify root causes with management SMEs.
  • Apply revenue cycle operational knowledge to optimization projects that improve patient experience, end-user efficiency, reimbursement, and automation.
  • Participate in cross-functional workgroups tracking system updates or business-as-usual fixes in support of revenue cycle and payer requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of analyst experience (data, financial, or business analytics).
  • 5+ years of integrated healthcare revenue cycle experience (charging, coding, revenue integrity, claims, remittance/payment posting, reporting analytics, insurance/self-pay collections).
  • Epic certification in a revenue cycle application (ADT/Prelude, Cadence, Resolute PB or HB) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities, with experience preparing executive-level summaries.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across clinical, operational, and finance teams.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Pay: $83,241.60 – $129,022.40 per year (range reflects geography, experience, and qualifications).
