Job Description:
NEXA Engineering is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in site-based project management, quality control, and stakeholder coordination, with a deep understanding of Dubai’s regulatory and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the on-site supervision and management of infrastructure and utilities works, including roads, drainage, water supply, electrical, telecom, and other civil works.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of site engineers, inspectors, and technical staff, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and performance.
- Review and approve construction plans, method statements, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
- Monitor contractor performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project delivery within budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential project delays or safety risks.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, technical assessments, and project status updates to senior management and clients.
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and project safety plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years in a Resident Engineer or site supervision role within a construction consultancy in Dubai
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with local regulations, standards, and authorities
