Description:
Mathews Metal Manufacturing LLC in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / QS Manager to join its Commercial team. The role is responsible for managing commercial activities and supporting the successful delivery of façade and construction projects.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in façade systems, aluminium and glass works, curtain walls, cladding, and construction projects. The position requires strong commercial knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage project costs, contracts, variations, and client negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the commercial/QS team and oversee project commercial activities.
• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
• Manage variations, claims, EOT-related commercial matters, and contractual correspondence.
• Review contracts, specifications, drawings, and commercial terms.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, and overall commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, measurements, certifications, and negotiations.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Design, Procurement, Production, and Finance teams.
• Attend commercial meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Ensure timely submission and certification of invoices and payment applications.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide accurate commercial advice to management.
• Maintain proper records of contracts, variations, claims, valuations, and project documentation.
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying / Commercial experience.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, curtain walls, cladding, aluminium fabrication, and glazing works.
• Good understanding of FIDIC and construction contracts.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and QS/commercial software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage commercial teams and handle complex project requirements.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Quantity surveying procedures and commercial management.
• BOQs, cost control, valuations, and payment applications.
• Contract administration, variations, and claims management.
