Railroad19 is currently looking for an experienced Senior Python Integration Engineer to join its distributed engineering team across the United States. This is a full-time, U.S.-remote role designed for senior-level professionals who enjoy building scalable, cloud-based systems and advising on best-in-class technical solutions.

In this role, you will contribute hands-on code while also acting as a technical advisor, helping teams and clients identify the most effective and sustainable solutions. Strong communication skills, collaboration, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing and maintaining scalable, enterprise-grade software using Python and AWS cloud technologies
  • Designing and contributing to backend architecture, including REST APIs, serverless components, and databases
  • Building new features, enhancing existing services, managing state machines, and integrating external APIs
  • Supporting and improving CI/CD workflows and automated integration testing
  • Developing software components that integrate with workflow engines or ESB systems to support asynchronous processes
  • Managing the full software development lifecycle using modern engineering best practices
