KBRA Holdings LLC is seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Python Data Engineer to join our remote engineering team and contribute to our financial analytical systems. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex problems, writing high-quality software, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues promptly.
- Contribute to design and architecture of new features and systems.
- Take ownership of codebase quality and deliverables.
- Mentor and support growth of other engineers.
- Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.
- Leverage Generative AI tools like ChatGPT for research, productivity, and insights (a plus).
Must-Have Skills:
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience with a portfolio of full-stack development.
- Proficiency in Python, including web frameworks like Flask.
- Cloud experience, especially AWS.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, MongoDB).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with UX design tools (Figma) and design-engineering hand-off processes.
- Containerized development and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- CICD pipeline experience.
