We’re Hiring – Senior Purchase Officer!
ASGC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Purchase Officer to manage the full procurement lifecycle for construction materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, in-depth knowledge of the UAE market, and proven expertise in sourcing and vendor management to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies for construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Lead the procurement team, ensuring compliance with company procedures and local UAE regulations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal value.
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.
• Control and monitor purchasing budgets, working toward achieving cost-saving objectives.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align procurement needs with project timelines and specifications.
• Oversee documentation such as purchase orders, requisitions, supplier agreements, and tender submissions.
• Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and cost opportunities.
• Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to sustainability, safety, and quality benchmarks.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 10–12 years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within the UAE construction industry.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with procurement systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Thorough understanding of the local market for construction materials and vendors.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic or other regional languages is advantageous.
